The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) was created by law in 1968 to ensure meaningful access to higher education for those who come from backgrounds of economic and educational disadvantage. The Fund assists low-income New Jersey residents who are capable and motivated but lack adequate preparation for college study. The Fund provides supplemental financial aid to help cover college costs that are not covered by the state’s Tuition Aid Grant as well as supports a wide array of campus-based outreach and support services.
The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program at Ramapo College of New Jersey provides meaningful access to higher education for qualified New Jersey students impacted by historical poverty. The EOF experience offers comprehensive support services and alumni connections to promote retention and progress through graduation. Information about the services and resources offered can be found on the Ramapo EOF Program website.
Admission to Ramapo College through the EOF Program is dependent on meeting both academic and financial eligibility requirements. Financial eligibility for the NJ EOF Program is the same across the state and is determined by required financial documentation as well as the student’s financial aid application.
