Do you have a hold?
There are two common admissions holds. Students who left Ramapo due to a low GPA might have an academic hold. Students who left Ramapo with an outstanding bill might have a financial hold.
Concerned about your academic standing? Reach out to the Center for Student Success for next steps.
Concerned about your financial standing? Reach out to the Office of Student Accounts for next steps.
Have you addressed your financial needs?
If you would like to apply for financial aid, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for financial aid consideration.
If you had financial aid before you withdrew and were not in compliance with the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy, you will need to fill out a Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal. Access an SAP Appeal Form at https://www.ramapo.edu/finaid/policies/.
Please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions about this process or your SAP eligibility.
Do you have credits to transfer?
Returning students who took classes at other institutions during their absence from Ramapo College may be able to transfer credits. Students will need to send official copies of those transcripts to the Office of Admissions for evaluation.
What’s next?
Things may have changed since your time at Ramapo, so all re-enrolling students are required to participate in a modified orientation process and meet one-on-one with an advisor regarding registration and other concerns. Check your Ramapo email for updates and information about these procedures.
Have you heard about our Fresh Start program?
Ramapo’s Fresh Start Program enables students to reset their GPA as a step towards achieving academic success. Complete the Fresh Start Inquiry form to speak with an Advisor who can help determine if Fresh Start is right for you: Fresh Start Inquiry Form.
