Course Placement Determined by SAT Scores
Students that earned an SAT-Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score of 620 or higher will be placed in CRWT 102: Critical Reading and Writing II. This course is counts as 4 credits toward graduation requirements.
Course Placement Determined by ACT Scores
Students that earned an ACT Composite score of 26 or higher will be placed in CRWT 102: Critical Reading and Writing II. This course is counts as 4 credits toward graduation requirements. A composite score of 26 or higher will also result in College-Level Mathematics course placement (determined by major and degree requirement).
Course Placement Determined by ACCUPLACER ESL Reading/Essay Placement Test Scores
ESL Placement: Students taking the ESL placement test will be placed into the same courses as all other students following this chart. The sections students take will be designed for students whose primary language is not English.

*Review: It has been determined that students falling within this score range are best reviewed manually rather than automatically by the testing system. A faculty member for Critical Reading and Writing will review the essays of these students on a weekly basis. Students will not be given a placement at the end of their test. These students will be emailed their placement usually within 7 business days of testing.
