Accreditation and Assessment

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)

In May 2021, the educator preparation provider (EPP) at Ramapo College of New Jersey (RCNJ) was issued full accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

The following programs were fully accredited by CAEP in 2021:

  • Teacher Education (initial-level)
  • Master of Arts in Special Education (MASE; advanced-level)
  • Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (MAEL; advanced-level).

Accreditation is effective Spring 2021 through Spring 2027. The EPP’s next site visit will take place in Fall 2026.

All five initial-level standards and all five advanced-level standards were met. Of the 38 standard components, the EPP received one minor area for improvement that was addressed when it collected its third cycle of employer survey data in Fall 2021.
