Outstanding majors in the Chemistry and Biochemistry programs who are eligible will have their work recognized from several academic awards:
- Hudson-Bergen Chemical Society Award
- American Institute of Chemists Award
- New Jersey Institute of Chemists Award
- Beck Endowed Scholarship
- Ted Michelfeld Award (Junior Chemistry Major)
- Elaine Windshell Award (Junior Biochemistry Major)
- ACS Division of Inorganic Chemistry Award
- ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry Award
- ACS Division of Organic Chemistry Award
- ACS Physical Chemistry Award
- ACS Organic Chemistry Achievement Award
- CRC Freshman Chemistry Achievement Award
- Westchester Chemical Society Award for Freshman Chemistry

Students who partake in a year-long research project with a Faculty mentor are eligible for induction into Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society:

Phi Lambda Upsilon (PLU) is the National Chemistry Honor Society and Ramapo College is the Gamma Beta Chapter.
- Students who meet the criteria can be inducted into this Honors Society:
