Timothy Monahan

“The Master’s of Arts in Educational Leadership program at Ramapo College provided me with the essential tools to thrive as an educational leader. The program’s hands-on learning approach allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge directly to real-world scenarios, enhancing my confidence and competence. The expert professors were not only highly knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in my growth, always approachable and ready to share their insights. The curriculum was relevant and thoughtfully designed, equipping me with practical strategies and a strong network of connections that continue to support me in my career. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to excel in educational leadership.

I completed the MAEL program in 2018-2019 and wrote an Action Research paper (MA Thesis) titled: “Student Self-Reflection and Goal Setting in a Problem Based Learning Environment: Impact on Academic vs. Social and Emotional Learning Growth”. My training at Ramapo College made me a better teacher, a leader, a successful staff developer in the Ridgewood Public Schools, and helped me become an administrator in Ridgewood and now Darien, Connecticut.” – Timothy Monahan ’19 graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Master’s of Art in Educational Leadership (MAEL) with a 4.0 GPA.
