“I appreciated Ramapo’s emphasis on teaching, extracurricular involvement and mentorship. Each and every one of my professors prioritized student education. My experiences at Ramapo allowed me to participate in independent neuroscience research, multiple pre-medical and psychology internships, on-campus disabilities tutoring, community-wide volunteering, and several on-campus organizations. Being apart of various extracurricular activities, I developed relationships with my mentors that will remain important to me throughout my medical career.” – Kevin Manz ’13 graduated with B.A. in Psychology. Kevin is now a medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. He is interested in neurology or neurosurgery and behavioral neuroscience research. He is pursuing a Doctorate of Medicine with an expected graduation date of 2018.
While at Ramapo, Kevin made Dean’s List each semester, received the Faculty’s Distinction in Psychology Award and was named the Outstanding Student (Valedictorian) in Psychology. As a student, Kevin submitted a first-author manuscript to the Journal of Behavioral Neuroscience, presented at six research conferences, and gave two oral presentations at the Ramapo Psychology Symposium.
