“I chose Ramapo for my undergraduate studies because I wanted a school on the smaller side. I had transferred from a bigger university where I felt like a number and unimportant to my professors. At Ramapo each of my professors took the time to get the know me and remember my name as an undergrad and now as a graduate student. That made approaching them much easier when I had questions or needed help. I have always believed that my professors were interested in what I was thinking and enjoyed listening to my ideas.
Being a part of Ramapo’s Master of Social Work program has opened so many doors for me. The staff and my fellow students have become more like family. The guidance and education that the professors provided have allowed me to grow in ways that I never knew possible. Joining the MSW program has been a great experience and the relationships that I have built with professors as well as fellow students will be something that I will always cherish. Studying abroad as part of the MSW program also was a great experience. It is something that I felt helped me grow as a person, in turn allowing me to become a better social worker.” – Danielle Lisowski ’14, ’17 completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Substance Abuse and earned her Master in Social Work at Ramapo College. While an undergraduate, Danielle made Dean’s List. Her study abroad experience took her on “Ghana: Social Work in West Africa” in May 2016.
