Anyelina Diaz

“I am a proud E.O.F Ramapo College alumna. Ramapo will always have a special place for me as it is where I developed as a quiet leader into a Student Affairs Practitioner. Being a part of the E.O.F program gave me a distinct advantage as I was able to network and have close relationships with college administrators due to this opportunity. While at Ramapo, I joined a sorority, Omega Phi Chi Sorority Inc., and I also became a resident advisor. I was also a part of the Organization for Latino Unity on campus. Being active and involved on campus made me aware that I had a passion for working with college-age and underserved students. I find that working with this population is rewarding and allows me to really see the impact I have on students as a Student Affairs Practitioner. My passion for this population of students is why I took on the role in order to work with this community within the region.” – Anyelina Diaz ’08 graduated with a degree in History and received her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Counseling from Rider University in 2010. Anyelina serves as a Disability Resource Specialist for the Disability Resource Center at Montclair State University. Previously, Anyelina worked at the University of Massachusetts Lowell for four-and-a-half years. She also served as the Assistant Director for Disability Services at the Wellness Center and was Resident Hall Director and Complex Director for several years. Anyelina is the current Region II representative of the Disability Knowledge Community for National Association for Student Personnel Administrators. Anyelina is passionate about social justice and working with underserved students.
