“Teaching at Ramapo has been a very rewarding experience for me. It’s great to be a part of Ramapo’s uniquely contemporary Music Program within the liberal arts environment of the college. Music has seen a lot of growth and success over the past few years, which is exciting. The new Les Paul Studio, which opened recently, is a major new addition to our facilities, and the campus musical community continues to develop through new performance ensembles, clubs and course offerings.

During my time at Ramapo, I’ve had the chance to work with many students in one-on-one/hands-on situations, including Independent Studies, Faculty Student Research, internship advisement and advising the Ramapo Music Club. Most recently, a student worked closely with me on the development of my art installation in the Pascal Gallery through a Faculty Student Research grant; previously several students participated in performance workshops of my electronic opera, “The Demo,” through the same program. Independent Study topics have included film music supervision, social media marketing strategies, intellectual property, music composition and computer music performance. Advisement is another way that I connect with students individually. I advise approximately 50 students per semester and try to help each one develop an individual path.”
