Chris and Suzi Turner, owners of Lamborghini Paramus, Prestige Volkswagen of Stamford and MINI of Dutchess County, have been supporters of Ramapo College since 2003. Many Ramapo graduates have chosen various positions within the dealerships. “We are invested in our employees and Ramapo has been a valued partner in supporting our talent acquisition over the years,” says Chris Turner, President of the company.
Chris was honored at the 2016 Ramapo College Foundation Distinguished Citizen’s Dinner. Chris is a member of the Ramapo Foundation Board of Governors and chaired the Concours d’Elegance held on the Ramapo campus in 2015 and 2016.
Erica Gray of Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.is a Marketing major with a minor in Business Analytics minor and has maintained a 3.8 GPA.
At Ramapo, Erica is the Publicist for Enactus in 2022 and serves on the Business Dean’s Advisory Council.
Erica has also been involved in off –campus activities, such as serving as the Assistant Events Manager at Sky Zone Trampoline Park, and an E-Commerce intern at Reckitt.
After graduation, Erica plans to pursue her goal of becoming a brand manager for a consumer-packaged goods brand.
Shaniah Szakalis of Riverdale, N.J. is a Marketing major that has maintained a 3.6 GPA, which has consistently earned her honorable mentions on the Dean’s List on multiple occasions.
At Ramapo, Shaniah is an active member of the United Asian Association and Women in Business. She is currently a Digital Marketing Intern at Aetrex, a footwear health company, playing a pivotal part in expanding their social media presence.
After graduation, Shaniah aspires to further her education in design to pursue a career in digital marketing to enhance her creative skills in e-commerce.
Mazen Jabali of Wayne, N.J is an Accounting major, has maintained a 3.8 GPA and has been honored with the Dean’s List every semester.
At Ramapo, Mazen has been an active member of the Accounting Club and the Roadrunner Financial Group. Within the Accounting Society, he has attended guest lectures from professionals in the field, receiving valuable networking opportunities from the school.
Off-campus, Mazen has interned at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, a top 8 accounting firm, and worked at Columbia Bank during his sophomore year. He has also accepted a full-time position at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, which he will commence after completing his master’s degree.
After graduation, Mazen plans to work full-time at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and aims to become a partner at a large accounting firm. He is also preparing for the CPA exam, a crucial step in his career path.
Nicole Cohen of Fair Lawn, N.J. is an Accounting major, has achieved Dean’s List every semester, and is a proud member of the Honors Program.
At Ramapo, Nicole has been active in Student Government Association as the ASB School Senator, the Roadrunner Financial Group, and the Accounting Club. She is also in the ASB Dean’s Advisory Council and the Sophomores Advancing in Leadership Program.
This past summer, Nicole worked as a tax intern at an international tax consulting firm abroad.
After graduation, Nicole plans to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Aneesha Malla is a senior Marketing major with a minor in Business Analytic. She has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.82 during her time at Ramapo.
Aneesha has completed volunteer work and served as a Counselor at Camp Sunshine, providing support and creating an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities. She also initiated a chapter of We Light the Candle, bringing joy to children in foster care through personalized birthday cards. Aneesha has actively participated in community events addressing homelessness and food insecurity, organizing donations, and distributing care packages.
The passion Aneesha has extends beyond business and community service. She possesses a deep love for education and an eagerness to support students both academically and personally.
After graduation, Aneesha aspires to publish a children’s book that promotes mental health awareness. Through her writing, she hopes to positively impact the lives of young readers and contribute to the ongoing conversation surrounding mental health.
Seema Gurung of Nepal is a Finance major. She has a 3.97 GPA. She has been on the Dean’s List for 2019, 2020, 2021. She has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship, and also has been apart of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and NJ Undergraduate Mathematics Competition
At Ramapo, Seema has been active in several organizations and activities, including Ramapo College Small Business Development Center, ASB Tutor, and International Student Organization
She is also proud to have been an Intern at NYC DOT.
William Keaveney of Pompton Plains, N.J. is a Finance major. He has a 3.92 GPA and has been on the Dean’s List every semester.
At Ramapo, William is an active member of the Roadrunner Financial Group and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Off-campus, William interned with Deloitte as an Advisory Intern during the summer of 2022 and with Woodport Holdings, a private equity search fund in the spring of 2021. After graduation, William will be joining Deloitte full-time upon his graduation in the spring of 2023.
Brandon Hemmer of Wantage, N.J is an Accounting Major with a 3.4 GPA and has been a Dean’s List recipient for semesters Spring 2020, and Spring 2022.
At Ramapo, Brandon is an active member of organizations including Residence Life, Accounting Club, and Roadrunner Financial Group. “I love helping people in everything I do, which all of these organizations provide me the opportunity with,” says Brandon.
After graduation, Brandon will have a full-time General Tax position as a Staff 1 Accountant at Withum Smith and Brown in Whippany, N.J. Brandon’s goal is to eventually become a forensic accountant.
Samantha Gruber of Wayne, N.J. is a Marketing major. She has a 4.0 GPA and is currently a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society, as well as the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society.
At Ramapo, Samantha is an active member of the Women in Business club where she is a part of a great community dedicated to helping women excel in the workplace.
Samantha has also been involved in off-campus activities and organizations, including a marketing internship with PIM Brands, Inc., the makers of Welch’s Fruit Snacks.

Jonathan Torres of Hoboken, N.J. is an International Business major with a 3.5 GPA. Before entering Ramapo in Fall 2019 as a freshman, Jonathan completed the Educational Opportunity Fund summer program. Jonathan was the Sophomore Representative of the Alliance of EOF and Friends, part of the Roadrunner Financial Group and the Ramapo College Indoor Soccer Club.
Jonathan has been involved in off-campus activities such as volunteering at food drives.
He has plans to volunteer for organizations that help underprivileged students such as himself and to eventually run his own business of supporting immigrant families.
“I want to remind women that our gender doesn’t define our success,” says Mya Olive. “We can succeed just as a man can.”
Mya is a Marketing major from Hillside, N.J. and is part of the EOF Program. She works at the Potter Library on campus.
Post-graduation, she hopes to become a fashion influencer and real estate agent. “I am proud to say that I have found the right major that fits me,” says Mya.
Adam Stoler of Metuchen, N.J. is an Accounting major in the 4+1 MSAC program. He has a 4.0 GPA and has made the Dean’s List every semester.
Adam is Vice President of Roadrunner Financial Group and has been a long-time member of the investment committee. He is also a member of the music club.
He currently works for Mazars in the U.S. as an Audit Intern, gaining real world experience working with clients in manufacturing and distribution. Post-graduation, Adam will pursue a masters degree and take the CPA exam while working for RSM U.S. LLP.

Steven Fiumefreddo of Oakland, N.J. is an Accounting Major with a Minor in Marketing. He has a 3.9 GPA. Steven is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma Student Athlete Honor Society, Ramapo College Dean’s List, USTFCCCA All-Academic Fall 2019 and Spring 2021.
At Ramapo, Steven has been active in several organizations and activities, including the men’s Cross Country/Track & Field team and Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Steven has helped organize fundraisers including soles for souls and monthly meetings with representatives of all athletic teams.
Steven has also been involved in off –campus activities and organizations, including two. Accounting internships with Eisner Amper and Withum, and currently works at JD’s Deli and Grille. Steven’s internship experience included hands-on work with both audit and tax engagements.
Victoria Niedbal of Lyndhurst, N.J. is a sophomore Marketing major with a minor in International Business with a 3.8 GPA. She has made the dean’s list every semester.
At Ramapo, she is member of the Honors program in which she is an Honors Development Group (HDG) leader. Along with this, she is also part of the Alpha Lambda Delta academic honors society and The National Society of Leadership and Success.
In high school, Victoria passed the N.J. State Seal of Biliteracy for her proficiency in the Polish language.
In her free time, Victoria volunteers as a tutor for local middle school students in order to motivate younger children and allow them to understand the importance of their education.
Fatima Bartel of Union, N.J. is a Business Administration-Management major with a Human Resource Management minor. She is a senior with a 4.0 GPA.
At Ramapo, Fatima has been active in the Women’s Center, the College Progressive’s Club, and recently the ASB Dean’s Student Council. She works with ASB staff and other dedicated ASB students to improve the overall student learning experience. Fatima is also a part of the honor society Beta Gamma Sigma.
She has interned at two companies, start-up company Super Purposes LLC and data analytics firm USEReady.
Valeriya Shashko of Pompton Lakes, N.J. is an Accounting major in the MSAC program who moved to the U.S. from Kazakhstan at the age of eleven. She has made the Dean’s List and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
As a Ramapo Admissions Student Ambassador, Valeriya led campus tours for prospective students and their families. Through Leaders In Service, she volunteered for organizations such as Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization and Habitat for Humanity.
Off campus, Valeriya volunteers for the Safety Town Program of Wayne and does bookkeeping for a local church. She currently works as an Accounting Associate at Ryan Financial.
After achieving her M.S. in Accounting, she plans on taking the CPA exam.
Lazaro Conde of Ridgefield, N.J. is a Finance major. Off-campus, he proudly serves as a U.S. Selective Service board member, appointed on behalf of the President for Bergen County.
“I hope to foster academic growth and innovation among my peers on campus,” says Lazaro as a member of the ASB Dean’s Student Advisory Council.
Upon graduation, he hopes to explore career opportunities in investment banking, real estate, and entrepreneurship.
Rebecca Abramsky of Wayne, N.J. is an Accounting major with a 3.7 GPA. She is part of the Dean Advisory Group and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Currently, Rebecca is an accounting intern at Cigna Health Insurance. Through the organization PS5, she teaches underprivileged children about basic financial literacy.
Eric Sorger of Millstone Township, N.J. is a Finance major with a Math minor. He has a 3.96 GPA and is a Presidential Scholarship recipient. Eric is a member of numerous honor societies and the Secretary of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society.
Eric is involved in the KPMG Mentorship Program, Sophomores Advancing in Leadership, and Leaders in Service, where he acted as a Peer Mentor. He is also on the Dean’s Student Advisory Board and is President and Treasurer of Phi Kappa Sigma, an all-male collegiate fraternity.
Eric recently achieved his dream Retirement Actuarial Internship at Willis Towers Watson, a leading global advisory, risk management, and solutions company. He previously worked as a Budget Analyst Intern in Ramapo’s Budget Office, and he currently works for Commvault as a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern. After graduation, Eric hopes pursue his dream as a full-time actuary.
Meghavi Pandya of North Arlington, N.J. is a Business Management major. She has a 4.0 GPA. She graduated with an honors diploma from her previous educational institution, Bergen Community College.
At Ramapo, Meghavi has been active in organizations including the Ramapo College Dance Company, the NAACH Dance Club, and Intramural Volleyball. She significantly enjoyed learning new, exciting choreographies at dance. Additionally, she found great pleasure in dancing with other talented dancers and simultaneously making new friends. Meghavi also plays intramural volleyball and appreciates working as a team with individuals like herself to accomplish a shared goal of winning the game.
Meghavi has a personal passion for fitness which inspired her to get certified in personal training while working at a gym near her hometown. Meghavi shares knowledge she gained through her NCSF PT certification and job experience by creating personalized workouts according to individuals’ goals. She motivates people by exercising with friends, acquaintances, and family members. “I am dedicated to helping improve others and my own physical health.”
Ava Rose Iorio of Midland Park, N.J. is a Marketing major. She has a 3.97 GPA. Ava has proudly achieved Dean’s list since her first semester. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and The National Society of Leadership and Success.
At Ramapo, Ava is currently active in several organizations and activities, including Females in S.T.E.M. Society and the Office of Specialized Services. She has been treasurer for Females in S.T.E.M. Society since her Sophomore year. Within the same timeframe, Ava has also held a student-aide position at the front desk of the OSS office. “My job in OSS has helped me build upon my interpersonal and multi-tasking skills. I also value helping out other Ramapo students as part of my work role.”
Ava previously worked at Taylor Financial Group, LLC. As a marketing intern, she acquired real-life experience into the field which challenged herself overall. She particularly enjoyed expressing her creativity by writing blogs for the company’s website. Ava believes that her diligence will open doors for future marketing opportunities and hopes to become a marketer for a large, established fashion company after graduation.
Brandon Ivan Sanchez of Guttenberg, NJ, is a Finance major. He has a 3.4 GPA and has earned Dean’s List since Fall 2019.
At Ramapo, Brandon has participated in several organizations and activities, including ALMA and UAA. In previous semesters he attended the ALMA National Latino Collegiate Conference Banquet which further expanded his knowledge of Latino Culture and business etiquette.
Brandon has volunteered at the North Bergen Free Public Library and works at Amazon as a fulfillment associate. “At Amazon, I am receiving hands-on-training in the logistics process that each package undergoes to reach the doorstep of a consumer. I hope to take this experience with me to a career in finance, at either Amazon, or in investment banking.”
Carla Sabbagh of Fort Lee, N.J. is a junior Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing. She is an active member of the Armenian Students Association and volunteers in the Ramapo Community. Carla has been on Dean’s list for two years.
Carla previously held a position as a digital marketing intern at a startup company based in Manhattan, NY. Along with her professional experience in the beauty industry and her enthusiasm for fashion, she hopes to create a fashion club on campus. She looks forward to using her knowledge of social media tactics, current fashion, beauty trends, and communication skills to continue her journey as an aspiring marketing professional.
Johanna Carrasquillo of Wayne, N.J. is a Marketing major. She has a 3.6 GPA.
At Ramapo, Johanna has been active in several organizations and activities, including Alpha Sigma Alpha and Love Your Melon. She is currently the Scholarship Chairman of Alpha Sigma Alpha.
She was incredibly involved at her last school (DeSales University), acting as the treasurer of a club called Best Buddies and a chairman for the Special Olympics Committee in Eastern Pennsylvania. As a transfer student, she took as many opportunities as possible to be involved at Ramapo College and take on a leadership position. Off campus, Johanna works as a B2B Social Media Recruiter and focus group hostess for a marketing research firm Focus Crossroads in East Rutherford.
Yuliya Lukava of Garfield, N.J. is a Business Management major. She has a 3.975 GPA and has been on the Dean’s List since her first semester. She is a member of Golden Key International Honour Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Alpha Lambda Delta.
At Ramapo, Yuliya holds the position of a Budget Analyst Intern at the office of Budget and Fiscal Planning. Off campus, she has used her fluency in multiple languages to deliver weekly tutoring sessions geared towards proficiency in English. She has also completed an internship at an attorney’s office in Clifton, N.J.
Upon her graduation she plans to continue her studies and earn a Juris Doctor degree and practice business law.
James Altinel of New Milford, N.J. Business Administration major with a concentration in Management. James has a 3.9 GPA and has been on the Dean’s List since his first semester. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Golden Key International Honor Society. “I’m proud to be the first person in my family to attend college.”
At Ramapo, James was previously active in Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. This organization allowed him to gain practices with recruitment, teamwork, and leadership building. He also served as Vice President for Ramapo College’s Mathematics Club from 2018-2019.
James has worked at Barnes & Noble Inc. and CVS Pharmacy. James trains and leads new hires, and takes initiative on sales floor projects. His goals after graduation is to secure a position in the field of Human Resources focusing on talent development.
Arianna Cruickshank of Edgewater, N.J. is pursuing an International Business degree with concentrations in Economics and Global Studies. Arianna has a 3.88 GPA and has been on the Dean’s List since her first semester. She is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
On campus, Arianna has volunteered as a Peer Facilitator and is a Resident Assistant for first-year students. She also has the privilege of representing students on the ASB Dean’s Student Advisory Council and serves as the Fundraising & Events Chair of the Armenian Students’ Association.
Previously, Arianna was a legislative intern for Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. in Washington, D.C., where she gave constituent tours of the U.S Capitol, conducted policy research and drafted a letter to the White House which was co-signed by 48 Members of Congress. This past summer, Arianna served as the Armenian Assembly of America Internship Program Coordinator in D.C., where she spearheaded meetings and led policy discussions between students and Members of Congress.
Arianna will begin an internship with Oasis, an organization committed to helping women and children in poverty in Paterson, N.J. in Spring 2019. With a passion for law and social justice, Arianna plans to continue her education in law school.
Lumana Shakya is a junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Mathematics. She has consistently earned Dean’s List status with a 4.0 GPA.
For the past two years, she has represented Ramapo College at the Inter-Collegiate Fed Challenge by the Federal Reserve of New York, and last summer, she completed an FP&A internship with a local CPG company. “I plan to attend graduate school to continue my studies in Development Economics and serve my purpose by doing meaningful research within this field,” says Lumana.
She works for the Potter Library and Institutional Advancement, along with holding leadership positions in the Dance Company and the International Student Organization. Lumana has received the “Outstanding Officer Award 2019” from the Center for Student Involvement for her leadership in ISO. Recently, she founded a new dance club, Naach, for students interested in Bollywood and South Asian dance forms.
Hatice Ozen of Paramus, N.J. is a senior Finance major with a minor in Computer Science. As a freshman, Hatice was elected as one of the first two freshmen representatives of the ASB Dean’s Student Council, where she helped improve the opportunities available to business students. She has served as a tutor, volunteer and mentor to the Ramapo community. One of her most rewarding experiences at Ramapo was her study abroad experience in Frankfurt, Germany.
Hatice has been the recipient of many honors, the most notable ones granted by JPM, Red Ventures, Citibank, and Major League Hacking. Over the summer, she interned as a technology analyst at Bank of America and will be returning as a full-time analyst after graduation.
“I’m so thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had at Ramapo and grateful for my parents, professors, staff and mentors who have helped me along the way,” says Claudia Wetzel of Blairstown, N.J.
Claudia is a Business Administration Major with a Management concentration and a minor in Psychology. She has a 3.9 GPA. Among her many accomplishments she received the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction Award.
At Ramapo, Claudia is student manager of the Civic and Community Engagement Center, and a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee as well as Alpha Phi Omega. She also promotes civic engagement and voter registration efforts on campus as a Team Leader for the Andrew Goodman Foundation.
Peter DeLuca is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Management.
Julianne Dinice of Ridgewood, NJ is a Communications major with a concentration in Global Communication and Media. She has a 3.85 GPA.
Julianne has held multiple internship positions in the field of marketing, branding, and social media, where she has gained knowledge of different aspects of the marketing field. She looks forward to securing a position in the field of marketing upon graduation.
Scott Ruel of Tuxedo Park, N.Y., is majoring in visual arts, with a concentration in photography. He has a 3.56 grade point average.
He particularly enjoys photographing cars and works mainly in digital photography. Scott holds a position as a member of a marketing team for a group of car dealerships. He hopes to secure a position as a staff photographer for an automotive magazine or a car manufacturer.
Ryan Jockel of Park Ridge, NJ is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing. He carries a minor in Information Technology Management. Ryan has earned a 3.47 grade point average.
Melissa Tavares, from Kinnelon, NJ is a Biology major. She is an executive board member of the Ramapo College Honors Program and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She looks forward to continuing her education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she will study to become a physician assistant. Melissa has a 3.91 grade point average.
This scholarship will contribute to the funds necessary to achieve my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant.
Melissa Ciandella of Maywood, NJ is a Biochemistry major. She has been involved in the College Honors Program, TAS Honors Research Symposium, and the NSCS Honor Society. Melissa serves as secretary of the History Club and the vice president of the College’s chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. She works as a student aide and tutor at Ramapo. Melissa applied for a summer undergrad research program, RISE, at Rutgers/UMDNJ. She says, “This scholarship will help me to afford my education at Ramapo, and will allow me to focus more time on pursuing my goal of dental school.” Melissa has a 3.70 grade point average.
Anthony Darakjy of Wyckoff, NJ is an Accounting major and an International Business minor. This spring, Anthony participated in the China Immersion Experience, which took him to Beijing, Shanghai and rural China. He believes the experience will help him to become a better student and businessperson. Anthony is a Student Trustee of the College’s Student Government Association, serves on ASB’s Dean’s Student Council Advisory Board, is a Student Ambassador, co-founder of Building Tomorrow and a member of the Accounting and Finance Clubs. He has completed internships at Bank of America and Aegis Insurance Services. His community service activities include the College’s Leaders in Service Program and SIFE. Anthony has a 3.96 grade point average.
Jericho Kayne of High Bridge, NJ has a double major: Business Administration with a concentration in Management, and Psychology. She is president and treasurer of Psi Chi, a member of The International Honor Society in Psychology, vice president of the Residence Hall Council, fundraising chair and junior advisor of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, a student advisor on the Dean’s Student Advisory Board, and a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Honor Society for Business and a member of The Society of Human Resource Management. Completing an internship in the Human Resources’ Talent Development Department of New York Life Insurance helped Jericho to refine her career goals. She believes her double major will prepare her for a career in corporate talent development. Jericho has a 3.95 grade point average.
Bulgarian native Mihail Velikov is a junior at Ramapo and has earned an outstanding 4.00 grade point average. He is majoring in business administration with a concentration in finance. Mihail is president of the Math Club and is a member of the ASB Student Advisory Board. He also is the student representative to the Investment Committee of the Ramapo College Foundation Board. He is a member of the soccer team and works on campus in the Bill Bradley Recreation Center.
Matthew Letinski is from Dayton, New Jersey and is in his junior year at Ramapo. Matthew is majoring in business administration with a concentration in finance, and has earned a 3.57 grade point average. He has worked at Pearson Education as a finance and accounting intern, and at Wachovia Bank. He is currently working in a cooperative education experience as a financial analyst at UPS. On campus Matthew is a member of the Student Government Association, Ramapo College Republicans, and is the alternate student representative to the Board of Trustees.
