This scholarship was created by the family of Adam Foye ’23, whose grandmother Donna Joyce was a huge supporter of education, working as an aide, special education teacher, and social worker. She returned to college as a single mother, put her four children through college, and had the opportunity to join Adam as he accepted admission to Ramapo College as a Presidential Scholar.
This scholarship was created in her memory to benefit a Computer Science major, which was Adam’s major during his time at Ramapo.
Prashant Shah of Kathmandu, Nepal is a Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics. He is also a Presidential Scholar.
At Ramapo, Prashant has demonstrated leadership through multiple roles, including serving as a Student Assistant Residence Director, a Student Assistant in the Civic and Community Engagement Center, and the President of the International Student Organization. Beyond campus, he is making a global impact as an advisory board member of Mathematics Initiatives in Nepal, a non-profit organization he founded that was recently recognized among the top 100 education innovations worldwide in the HundrED Global Collection.
Prashant’s combination of technical expertise, leadership experience, and dedication to community service positions him well for his future goals in software engineering and technology innovation.
