Marilyn J. Clark attended Ramapo College as a returning adult student. Majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology, she completed her degree in 1979. As the mother of two sons, Walt Jamros ’95 and William Jamros, Ms. Clark attended the College part-time while working full-time at the Saddle River Day School. She had a successful 29-year career at Saddle River Day School and served as the Director of Development. Ms. Clark was honored by Congressman Josh Gottheimer as a “hometown hero” for her tremendous volunteer efforts. She also received the President’s Award of Merit, the highest award given to a Ramapo alumnus, at the 2019 Commencement ceremony.
This scholarship for first generation students is the second endowed scholarship Ms. Clark has created.
Cesar Vivas of Freehold, N.J. is an Accounting major with a 3.5 GPA.
At Ramapo, he is a part of several organizations including the Tri-Alpha Honor Society, the Association of Latinos Moving Ahead, Orientation New Student Experience, Peer Facilitation, and Sophomores Advancing in Leadership.
Off campus, he contributes to his local food pantry as a Logistics Assistant, and he acts a liaison for Spanish-speaking beneficiaries.
Through hard work and discipline at Ramapo, Cesar aims to succeed in the financial services industry. He is committed to utilizing his education and experiences to uplift his community and share knowledge and resources to empower families.
