Jessica Gil

Jessica Gil of Paterson, N.J. is a senior, first-generation Psychology and Spanish Major. 

At Ramapo, Jessica actively contributed to social Justice by partnering with first friends to build a community with asylum seekers.

Jessica has also been involved in off-campus activities, such as Young Adult Leader, a Young Prophet Leader, volunteering, and a CCD teacher at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.

After college, Jessica plans on going to graduate school to study psychotherapy.

Emily & Sidney Geltman Memorial EOF Scholarship

When Mrs. Emily Geltman attended commencement with her son and daughter-in-law, an employee of the College, she was so impressed with the enthusiasm and accomplishments of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) students that she established an endowed scholarship fund for their benefit. The fund is named in honor of her husband, Sidney, “a kind and generous man who never stopped learning.” The intent of the Geltman Scholarships is to provide tuition assistance for students enrolled in the EOF program.
