Dayanira Ramirez

Dayanira Ramirez of Haledon, N.J. is a sophomore Nursing major with a 3.4 GPA and has made Dean’s List. 

At Ramapo, Dayanira has been a member of the Nursing cClub and is a part of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program. She also is a mentor for the EOF summer program. 

Dayanira has also been involved in off –campus activities, such as babysitting for a private organization. The position helped her with patience, build her confidence with handling children, and work well under pressure. 

After graduation, Dayanira plans to become a labor and delivery nurse and assist new parents through a beautiful yet difficult time.

Kathy Azzara Scholarship

Kathy Azzara graduated from Ramapo College in 2002 with a degree in Psychology from the School of Social Science and Human Services. She and her husband, Michael, have been active supporters of the College since that time. In 2000 Mr. Azzara, former president and CEO of the Valley Health System, was honored at the Ramapo College Foundation’s Distinguished Citizens Dinner for his leadership in healthcare and volunteer organizations across New Jersey and nationwide.
