Newton LeVine was a professor at Ramapo College where he taught graphic arts and Chaired the Department of Contemporary Arts. According to his obituary after his death in 2020, “Newton always felt that the minds of the young students needed to be nurtured, and he worked feverishly to help them realize their limitless potential.”
His spouse, Joan Seguine LeVine, started this endowed scholarship to honor her husband’s academic discipline and longstanding tenure at the College. She has chosen to support students who are studying the graphic and/or visual arts, and provide financial assistance to students who are valiantly furthering their educations.
Geninah Intoy of Ridgefield Park, N.J. is a Visual Arts major with a concentration in Drawing and Painting, a minor in Psychology, and is part of the Teacher Education Program. She has a 3.5 GPA.
Off Campus, Geninah has been running Children’s Art Programs at her local library.
After graduation, Geninah would like to become an art teacher and give students the same joy and inspiration she has received from her art teachers throughout the years

Danielle Opitz of Old Bridge, N.J. is a Visual Arts major with a concentration in Electronic Art and Animation. She has a 3.7 GPA.
