In this talk, “Secrets of Exceptional 21st Century Workplaces,” Denver Frederick, deconstructs and demystifies corporate culture to guide job candidates in interviews and organizations in shaping their culture and identity clearly.

After 200 interviews with CEOs and 100 focus groups with purpose-driven businesses and nonprofit organizations, he shares the secrets of how exceptional organizations promote transparency, recognition, professional development, innovation, diversity and inclusion, and more.

There’s a lot of buzz surrounding “corporate culture.” Its meaning though can be somewhat nebulous and relative, like describing pain on a scale of 1-10. Does it come and go? Or is it constant? It’s certainly significant! In a recent survey, 95 percent of respondents said corporate culture matters more than compensation. Many people will pay dearly to be pain free!

Denver has had 40 years of experience in the world of philanthropy and social good. He was the Chief Development Officer for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, helped to direct and manage the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations, worked with Michael J. Fox to start his Parkinson’s Foundation, and pioneered the movement of peer fundraising through his work with the New York City Marathon. He has served as the Executive Director of a number of organizations and has taught at the NYU School of Fundraising Management.
