This application is made available to current student staff members by Monday, January 10, 2024, and must be submitted no later than Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

This Reappointment Intent Application must be submitted by ALL current RAs and SARDs. The reappointment intent application process is to gather information for the following academic year (it is NOT for next semester but for the next full academic year – next Fall and Spring). In this application, you have the opportunity to convey that you wish to return as an RA or SARD or that you will not be returning to a Residence Life student staff position, as you may be graduating or simply choosing not to work in either of these positions during the following academic year.

If you are currently an RA who is considering applying for the SARD position, you may indicate your interest in this application. In addition, current SARDs have the opportunity to indicate if they wish to return as SARD or they may choose to indicate their interest in returning as an RA, rather than to continue as SARD.

Student staff reappointment to any position in the Office of Residence Life is not guaranteed. And, continued employment after being hired or re-appointed is also not guaranteed. Reappointment and continued employment are based on academic requirements and job performance. Residence Life student staff member position placement is based on departmental needs. Applicants’ interests in residing in particular residential areas may not be considered when placement decisions are made.

The reappointment application includes the RA/SARD Self-Evaluation.
