Please join us for Faculty Development Day co-sponsored by the Faculty Resource Center (FRC), Teaching, Learning, and Technology Roundtable (TLTR). and the Instructional Design Center (IDC). The theme for Faculty Development Day is TechFest 2024 – AI: Promises and Perils for Classroom Teaching and Research. The afternoon will provide important information about our Ramapo College campus including informative sessions on how faculty are utilizing AI and innovating with a broad range of technologies.

AI has been a part of our culture for decades – How about the annoying “robot voice” who answers your customer service call? Now with ChatGPT and other AI-service based technologies, we have witnessed one of the most significant technological advances in modern history. Here at Ramapo, we have discussed this topic and received professional development. We have yet to share publicly how we are using it in our classrooms and research both for its promising aspects and to troubleshoot its perils. FDD/TechFest 2024 will showcase and celebrate our faculty as they innovate and integrate the use of AI in their classrooms and research.
