Students enrolled for a second bachelor’s degree at Ramapo College must meet specific requirements in order to be certified to graduate.

To establish degree requirements for students enrolled at Ramapo College for a second bachelor’s degree

Policy

Students pursuing a second bachelor’s degree at Ramapo College

Students must apply through the Office of Admissions for the degree that they wish to pursue as their second bachelor’s.

  • General Education Requirements and General Education Distribution areas are waived for all students pursuing a second bachelor’s degree.
  • Pathways is waived for the second bachelor’s degree.
  • School Core must be completed as listed in the Catalog at the time of enrollment.
  • Students earning a second bachelor’s degree will follow all policies set forth in the Transferring of Academic Credit Policy (See Policy 300-FF Transferring Academic Credit).
  • At least 50% of the credits required for the new major must be completed at Ramapo during the second bachelor’s degree.
  • Students earning a second bachelor’s degree must follow the same residency requirement as all other undergraduate students.

Students are not eligible to return to complete a second concentration. Only students who are pursuing a different major will be considered for admission for a second bachelor’s degree.  Additionally, Ramapo graduates who received a bachelor’s degree in the Anisfield School of Business must seek special permission from the School Dean if seeking a second bachelor’s degree in any major other than Economics.
