Where can I find general admissions information?

Do I need a separate application?
You do not have to complete a separate application. If you live in Rockland or Orange County NY, and enroll at Ramapo right out high school, you will be automatically awarded the $10,000 Border County Scholarship.
Is this scholarship renewable?
The scholarship will automatically be renewed for 4 years as long as you are continuously enrolled full time at RCNJ. The scholarship may be extended upon request and review.
Can I commute and still receive the scholarship?
Yes. This scholarship is available for commuter and residential students.
What if I live on campus?
If you live on campus, you will also be awarded the $4,000 Out of State Housing grant. Renewable for 4 years.
What is the minimum criteria to qualify for the scholarship?
- Students must enroll at Ramapo College of New Jersey as first-year students.
- Must live in Rockland or Orange Counties in NY while attending Ramapo.
- Students must maintain full time enrollment.
- Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing.
What if I move?
If you move out of Rockland or Orange counties during the time you are attending Ramapo, your scholarship will be revoked. You may still qualify for the $4,000 Out of State Housing grant.
What if I take a gap year?
We will defer your scholarship for up to one year as long as you do not enroll full time at any other higher education institution during that time.
Do Transfer students qualify?
The Border County Scholarship is not available for transfer students. If you graduate from RCC or OCCC and enroll at Ramapo within 1 year after your associates degree, you will qualify for a special reduced rate. Check it out.
Do I qualify for other Ramapo Scholarships?
