FYS Class:

Class of: 2026

Major/Minor: Accounting Major (4+1)

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class: My favorite class that I have taken thus far is Honors Studies in the Arts and Humanities with Professor Stephen Rice. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the themes of Utopia and Dystopia found in media throughout history. Additionally, the class was structured as an open discussion, rather than a lecture, which I found intellectually stimulating and fun!

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the Learning Commons. I love getting my work done in the library with a great view of the mountains. Plus, working in a public setting motivates me to be more productive!

Clubs/organizations: I am the Treasurer of RCNJ Birding, Ramapo’s birdwatching club! We take advantage of the many great hiking spots near campus, such as the Ramapo Reservation, to spend time in nature and learn more about the local wildlife!

Future Plans: I am looking forward to being a part of Res Life! Keep an eye out for the fun programs I will host during the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters!

Favorite Inspirational Quote: A motivational quote that I use often is “It will all get done.” This phrase reminds me that I am capable and will find a way, even when I am stressed.

Advice for First-Year Students: A piece of advice I want to give to first-year students is to get involved on campus! Joining clubs, organizations, and sports, and attending events on campus are great ways to support your social and emotional wellness. Make the most of your college experience!
