Diversity Day

Diversity Day is a day to celebrate and embrace who we are, despite our differences, no matter what race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, or disability. It is also a day to reflect on and learn about different cultures and ideologies at Ramapo College.

Rites of Passage Pre-Commencement Ceremony

The Rites of Passage Pre-Commencement Ceremony is a celebration for graduating students that features a traditional libation and the bestowal of a gift to each graduate, such as a Kente Cloth. It is an opportunity for graduates to express their cultural heritage and pride as they prepare to transition into post-collegiate success and provides them with a unique opportunity to honor the contributions and sacrifices of their ancestors. All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend, and all graduating students (undergraduate and graduate) are invited to participate and/or attend the ceremony. It is held to express and celebrate the achievements of the community here at Ramapo College, and to honor each individual’s journey through college and through their identity.
