Graduates of the baccalaureate program are prepared as generalists to assume critical roles in the provision of nursing care in collaboration with other health professionals within complex health care systems. They are also prepared to be contributing members of society and are socialized to continue their education. The generic graduates are eligible to take the license examination (NCLEX)  to become registered nurses.

The nursing curriculum of the BSN Program reflects the use of the American Nurses’ Association (ANA) Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and the AACN Essentials of Baccalaureate Nursing Practice

Ramapo graduates work in many health care settings, including hospitals such as John Hopkins Hospital, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Hackensack University Medical Center, The Mayo Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Newark-Beth Israel, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and the UCLA Health System. Alumni also pursue graduate degrees at Rutgers University, NYU, Columbia, and Ramapo’s own Master’s of Science in Nursing.
