When is the next available start term?


For qualified ABSN students – Summer 2025 (end of May) for 16-month accelerated cohort for those admitted and qualified with completion of all prerequistes.

For qualified Bridge to ABSN – prerequisites courses may be completed starting in Summer/Fall 2025, upon completion; students may be eligible to start in the Summer 2026 ABSN cohort

What is the required GPA?

The GPA requirement is 3.0 for both ABSN and Bridge to ABSN.

Do I have to take an entrance exam?

Yes, for ABSN the TEAS exam must be completed with a score proficient prior to enrollment. For Bridge to ABSN, students must sit for TEAS exam and score proficient during pre-requisite course completion and prior to enrollment in ABSN.

Do I need to have all prerequisites completed with a C+ or higher before applying?


Yes, to be eligible for the 16-month accelerated program.

If I am accepted and enroll in the Bridge to ABSN and need prerequisites, can I repeat prerequisite courses in which I received lower than a C+?


No, you will removed from the program and pathway and may complete a different major at Ramapo College if desired.

Can I work during the program?

For the 16-month, full-time program, students cannot work in a full-time job as courses are rigorous and offered during the day; for the prerequisites/bridge option, courses will be offered in a part-time in-person/hybrid format and in the evening and on Saturdays and students may work if desired.

Is financial aid available?


Financial aid is available through the FAFSA and students are encouraged to speak with the Office of Financial Aid for assistance. Payment plans are available as well.

If I am not accepted to the accelerated BSN program, how can I become a Nurse and/or attend Ramapo to attain the BSN degree?

Please research our community college articulation partnerships and AAS programs in the region. After enrolling and completing one of these RN programs, you may apply to our RN to BSN program.

I have a master’s degree in another field - am I waived out of any Nursing courses or the TEAS?

No, you are not waived from any nursing courses or from taking the TEAS exam.

I was in a different Nursing program at one time and failed out or withdrew, should I apply?

You may apply, but courses may need to be repeated.

Do you accept Nursing courses from international and/or other US accredited institutions towards this program?

No, we do not accept international courses or other US accredited institutions.

Are there other costs associated besides the tuition for this program?

Estimated associated costs are approximately $6,500 per program.  Below are other estimated costs not included in the tuition.
