Program Supports Student Scholarships

MAHWAH – The Ramapo College Foundation kicks off its Performing Arts Dinner Series on Saturday, October 14 with “The Comedy of Michele Balan & Eddie Brill” at The Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts.  Balan was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and titleholder of “Last Woman Comic Standing.” Brill appeared multiple times on The Late Show with David Letterman and was featured on the FX hit series Louie.

Those who become benefactors of the program will receive two tickets to each of the four performances. The contribution includes gourmet buffet dinner, wine bar, student scholar presentation, premier seating in the Berrie Center Theater and a donation to the Ramapo College Foundation to support student scholarships.

Other performances in the series include “Married to Broadway” featuring husband and wife, Ron Sharpe and Barbra Russell, will perform the best of Broadway plus favorite holiday classics on Saturday, December 2.  Audiences will enjoy a unique evening with “Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience” on Sunday, March 11 and “A.J. Croce: Two Generations of American Music” on Saturday, April 28.

Hosted by The Ramapo College Foundation, this specially packaged series is a way for philanthropic patrons to experience outstanding entertainment while supporting college scholarships, faculty and student research opportunities and campus capital projects.  Elaine Adler, Inserra ShopRite Supermarkets, Liberty Hyundai and Liberty Subaru, Roy and Eileen Putrino, Frances and Judy Rodriguez, and Stryker are sponsors for the series.
