(Mahwah) – The Friends of Ramapo will host an Art Auction and Evening at the Cabaret Saturday, September 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Berrie Center for the Performing and Visual Arts on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.
The auction will feature original works by regional artists including Cornelia Baker, Rosemary Zabal, Leonie Castelino, Sandra Frech, Alice Harrison, Dan and Arlene Kirschenbaum, Ruth Bauer Neustadter, Lisa Peters-Russ, Ellen Reinkraut and Kiyoko Sakai, among others.
A cabaret performance by Wendy Kelly will feature the music of David Friedman, known for his vocal arrangements of several Disney movies including Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Aladdin.
A preview and reception will be held from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. The art auction begins at 7:30 p.m., with the cabaret following at 8:45 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
The Friends of Ramapo is an organization founded to expand communications and foster greater understanding between the campus of Ramapo College and neighboring communities. All proceeds from the auction and cabaret will benefit the Friends of Ramapo student scholarships.
