(Mahwah) – Interested volunteers have the opportunity to serve as ushers, greeters and gallery monitors for the upcoming season at the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey. The Berrie Center will begin its fourth season on September 13 with folk singer Richard Shindell in concert. Other performances during the fall include: Fusion Tango, offering workshops and performance by this electrifying Argentinean group; jazz with The Barry Harris Trio; the comedy/improvisation troupe The Second City; New Jersey Tap Ensemble; and the American Boychoir with the Newark Boys Chorus School. The Selden Rodman Collection of Popular Arts Gallery, the Kresge and Pascal Galleries and the Potter Library Galleries will continue to showcase fine contemporary art.
Volunteers will receive training and one pair of tickets per semester to a show of their choosing. Please call (201) 684-7202 for more information, or to register for a volunteer reception, scheduled September 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
