MAHWAH – Ramapo College’s Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and Zeta Beta Tau will be hosting the first eight-hour dance marathon to support Children’s Miracle Network’s local member hospital, Children’s Specialized Hospital this month.
The marathon will raise money through ticket sales, and proceeds will go to the Children’s Specialized Hospital, which is the nation’s largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital. The hospital serves children affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction, premature birth, autism, development delays and life-changing illnesses. The Children’s Specialized Hospital has seven sites in New Jersey and treats almost 17,000 children each year. The Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon was founded by college students in 1991, and has grown to over 100 universities and colleges across the country, to raise funds for children’s hospitals to lessen the financial burden on families of children in need.
The Ramapo Dance Marathon will take place on Friday, April 23 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the Bradley Center’s Auxiliary Gym on the Ramapo College of New Jersey campus. The event will feature refreshments, a raffle, prizes and entertainment. Tickets are $10 when registering online at http://ramapo.kintera.org/dm, or $20 at the door. For additional information, visit the registration website at http://ramapo.kintera.org/dm.
