(Mahwah) – The Ramapo Mountain Stage series performance, “The Heart and Soul of American Roots Music” featuring Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 20 at 7 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey. The Friday, March 16 performance was cancelled due to inclement weather. Tickets issued for the original performance will be honored May 20.
Jay and Molly won international acclaim with their haunting rendition of “Ashokan Farewell,”the musical hallmark of Ken Burns’ PBS series “The Civil War.” This winning duo has introduced American acoustic music to people of all ages, and they bring their timeless sound to the Berrie Center with a program of Appalachian, Cajun and Celtic fiddle tunes, sassy songs from the golden age of swing and country, romantic waltzes and their own compelling originals.
