(MAHWAH, NJ) – On May 4 Grammy Award-winners Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks will bring their exhilarating swing music of the 1920s &30s to the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts at 8 p.m. Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks are internationally known for their work on film and television including appearing in: “Finding Forrester,” “The Aviator, Revolutionary Road,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “Royal Pains.”
Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks also worked on the soundtracks for Terry Zwigoff’s “Ghost World,”Tamara Jenkins’ “The Savages,” Robert DeNiro’s “The Good Shepherd,”Sam Mendes’ “Away We Go,”Michael Mann’s film “Public Enemies,” “The Cotton Club,” along with HBO’s “Grey Gardens”and Todd Hayne’s HBO mini-series “Mildred Pierce.”
This dynamic eleven piece band has performed at the New York Public Library, the Waldorf Astoria, the Rainbow Room and private events for the NY Pops, NYC Opera, and NYC Ballet. Vince Giordano has also performed at the Smithsonian Institute, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art and Jazz Festivals around the world. The New York Timesraves, “an erupting wellspring of euphoria; that would describe the vintage swing emanating from Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks.”
