MAHWAH – Peter Schiff, president and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital, will discuss how investors can protect their portfolios in the current economic climate at The Fifth Annual Sebastian J. Raciti Memorial Lecture and Dinner at Ramapo College of New Jersey in October.
Schiff’s presentation is titled “America’s Financial Crisis: Is It Over? How To Protect Your Portfolio in These Uncertain Times.” He is one of the few investment advisors to have correctly called the current bear market in U.S. dollar denominated assets before it began. He has made accurate forecasts on a number of economic fronts including the U.S. stock market, the economy, real estate, the mortgage meltdown, the credit crunch, the subprime debacle, commodities, gold and the dollar.
He is the author of a best-selling book, “Crash Proof: How to Profit from the Coming Economic Collapse” published by Wiley & Sons in February of 2007. His second book is scheduled for publication in early 2009.
An expert on money, economic theory and international investing, he has been a financial professional for more than 20 years. Schiff joined Euro Pacific in 1996 and has served as its president since January 2000.
The annual event was established to honor the memory of Sebastian J. Raciti (1934-2003), who, for 31 years, served in various roles that were instrumental in the development of Ramapo College. Known as Sib, he was a member of the founding faculty, arriving in the College’s second year.
The lecture will be sponsored by the Center for Business and Public Policy of Ramapo College and the Ramapo College Foundation Business Network.
“America’s Financial Crisis: Is It Over? How To Protect Your Portfolio in These Uncertain Times” will be presented Wednesday, October 22. in SC-219 in the Robert A.
