(Mahwah) – The theater program of Ramapo College of New Jersey will present Savage in Limbo February 27 through 29 at 8 p.m., March 1 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and March 3 – 5 at 8 p.m. in the Adler Theater on the college campus.  Giovanna Sardelli, whose professional credits include directing plays in New York City, will serve as guest director.

This production of Savage in Limbo will be based on the play by John Patrick Shanley.  Produced Off-Broadway by New York’s Double Image Repertory Company, the play moves from comedy to near tragedy as it explores the hopes and dreams of a group of rootless young “losers” who congregate in an anonymous Bronx bar, hoping to find respite from the drabness of their lives as they search for purpose in an often purposeless world.

Savage in Limbo showcases the talents of Ramapo College theater program students Nicholas Acciani of Cherry Hill; Lauren Barbara of Ramsey; David Dabney of Fair Lawn; Tim Moran of East Windsor; Jess Phelan of Mendham; Marjorie Polunas of Wall, and Jess Ross of Franklinville.

All performances will be in the Adler Theater, located in the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the campus of Ramapo College.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.  For ticket information, contact 201.684.7844.
