(Mahwah) – The theater program of Ramapo College of New Jersey will present Loose Knit February 28, March 1 -2 and March 5 – 7 at 8 p.m. in the Adler Theater on the college campus. Additional performances will be presented March 3 at 2 and 8 p.m. Giovanna Sardelli, whose professional credits include directing plays in New York City, will serve as guest director.
Loose Knit, a play by Theresa Rebeck, revolves around five women who gather each week in New York City to knit. As the sweaters pile up, their lives fall apart. The playwright outlines the battle between the sexes with wit, ferocity and insight in a contemporary comedy of manners.
The production showcases the talents of Ramapo College theater program students Matt Algozzini of Maywood, playing “Bob;” Jacqueline Byrne of Maywood, portraying “Margie;” Alissa Dirato of Atlantic City, as “Lily;” Matt Enhoffer of Wantage, stage manager; Frank Hughes of Glen Rock playing “Miles;” Jessie Losch of Wyckoff, portraying “Liz;” LaQuanna Peterson of Newark, as “Paula,” and Marjorie Polunas of Wall, playing “Gina.”
