DISTINGUISHED CITIZENS AWARD DINNER RAISES MORE THAN $250,000 FOR RAMAPO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, PROGRAMS AND RESEARCH Joseph T. Dockery, Emily Kosstrin Mann, Audrey Meyers and Jeffrey A.Warren’73 are Honorees

(Mahwah) – The Ramapo College Foundation’s 2006 Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner, held Saturday, March 11 at the Rockleigh Country Club, raised more than $250,00 for scholarships, programs and research, while honoring four distinguished citizens for their leadership and commitment to higher education:  Joseph T. Dockery, president of Prestige Management Services, Inc.; Emily Kosstrin Mann, a community leader, architectural designer, and former trustee of Ramapo College who currently serves on the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors; Audrey Meyers, president and chief executive officer of The Valley Hospital and Valley Health System; and Jeffrey A. Warren,’73, senior advisor to the National Pharmaceutical Council and founding principal of JR Market Strategies, LLC.

Entertainment was provided by The Steppin’ Out Orchestra.  The 11-piece band performed a mix of R & B, disco, Motown, jazz and Top 40 tunes.

The annual benefit dinner, under the leadership of Tom McGurn, raises funds for student scholarships, College programs and faculty research.

Biographical Information About the Honorees:

Joseph T. Dockery of Cos Cob, CT is president of Prestige Management Services, Inc., an automobile sales and leasing corporation that has dealerships in Ramsey, Mahwah, Paramus and Nanuet, NY among others.  As head of the Prestige Family of Fine Cars for 38 years, he has received numerous honors including the Toyota and BMW Presidents Awards,” the Mercedes Benz Best of the Best” Award and, for the past 10 years, the Elite of Lexus” designation.  He is a trustee of NJCARS.  Dockery is a member of the Hackensack University Medical Center’s Board of Governors, where he serves on its executive, building, children’s hospital governance and strategic planning committees, among other boards of directors.  An avid yachtsman, Dockery served as a director and officer of the Stamford Yacht Club.

Emily Kosstrin Mann of Englewood, NJ, a community leader and architectural designer, serves on the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors.  From 1997-2004, she was a member of the Board of Trustees for the College, serving as vice chair and chair of the Capital Improvements Committee, and on the Academic, Finance, and Presidential Search committees.  She was the first chair of the board of overseers for the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts.  As a member of the planning board for the city of Englewood, her expertise is evident through her work on the Central Business District, Economic Development Corporation and the Mainstreet Program, where she received special recognition.  She also has worked as a trustee of both the Dwight Englewood School and The Elisabeth Morrow School to enhance the quality of these two institutions.

Audrey Meyers of Ridgewood, NJ is president and chief executive officer of The Valley Hospital and Valley Health System.  She began her career at Valley in 1980 as a planning associate and has held many executive positions throughout her tenure there.  Her numerous awards and honors highlight Meyers’ dedication to the field of healthcare and her community.  She is a fellow in the Healthcare Executives.  She received the Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Healthcare Executives of New Jersey, was honored with the Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) award, was honored at the Executive Women of New Jersey’s (EWNJ) Salute to the Policy Makers dinner, and is listed in the National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals.  In addition, she received the Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s
Award from the American College of healthcare Executives.  Meyers serves on the boards of the New Jersey Hospital Association, Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey and the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board.

Jeffrey A. Warren of Randolph, NJ, a 1973 graduate of Ramapo College, is senior advisor to the National Pharmaceutical Council and the founding principal of JR Market Strategies, LLC, a healthcare consulting practice.  With over 25 years of executive healthcare experience, Warren has held senior positions at Pfizer, Parke-Davis, Cathedral Healthcare Systems and Hackensack University Medical Center.  He also served as the first executive secretary of the New Jersey Hospital Rate Setting Commission.  During his tenure with Cathedral as a national program director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Warren directed the Foundation’s New Jersey Health Services Development program, a twelve million dollar initiative that funded over 29 innovative community-based programs in ambulatory care throughout New Jersey over a seven-year period.  He currently is a member of the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research and serves on the boards of New Jersey Health Decisions and the Institute for Medication Access and Compliance.
