(Mahwah) – Thomas Palmer, president of Wyckoff-based DAF Products, was recently elected chairman of the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors. A member of the Board since 1994, he also chaired the College’s two major fundraising events: the Distinguished Citizens Dinner and the Annual Foundation Golf and Tennis Outing.
“Tom has shown tremendous leadership and commitment to the College over many years,” said Cathleen Davey, vice president for institutional advancement and executive director of the Ramapo College Foundation. “His efforts resulted in large increases in the proceeds of events he chaired.” She went on to explain that Palmer and his wife, Alice, were generous and energetic supporters of the campaign to construct the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts.
In addition, Palmer is a member of the executive board of the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America, was a member and chairman of the Mahwah Planning Board from 1978 to 1989, and was a member and president of West Bergen Mental Health Center from 1984-1991. An avid golfer, Palmer lives in Mahwah and is the father of three children.
