MAHWAH, N.J. – The Open Door Concert Series at Ramapo College of New Jersey begins its sixth season with a concert featuring music for piano quartet and the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble. The free concert is Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m. in the York Room of the Birch Mansion at the College.

Also performing is Ramapo professor and the Series’ artistic director Itay Goren. The concert will include Brahms’ Quartet in G minor with its thrilling Gypsy Rondo and Dvoràk’s Eb major Quartet with the soulful cello melody in the second movement, presented alongside Frank Bridge’s Phantasy for Piano Quartet and Francis Poulenc’s Violin Sonata written during WWII.

The Gabriel Chamber Ensemble (violin, viola and cello) is in its 28^th season.

Admission to the concert is free and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seats are on first-come basis. The Series is supported by a grant from the Ramapo College Foundation.
