Ramapo College, through the Anisfield School of Business, offers a 30 credit M.S. in Accounting (MSAC) program that prepares students to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and effective professionals in accounting and control functions in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
This is accomplished through a comprehensive learning experience in both advanced accounting and CPA exam preparation. Students in combination with previous credits from their bachelor’s degrees will attain the 150 credits required for CPA licensure, and the professional preparation to excel in today’s complex and rapidly changing financial reporting environment.
MSAC graduates will possess an in-depth understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles that will enable them to appropriately identify financial problems and employ the applicable research skills necessary to provide effective solutions to improve business practices. Our graduates will also develop skills that are necessary to accurately identify current emerging domestic and international issues in the accounting profession. Topics include Forensic Accounting, Fraud Examination and Advance Auditing, and Data Analytics.

Ramapo College’s Master of Science in Accounting (MSAC) program is a new, graduate-level program for those seeking CPA certification or higher level knowledge in the accounting field. Ramapo accounting graduates are in high demand by local, regional and national accounting firms, including the “Big Four” firms. The Ramapo MSAC program will build on that reputation and provides students the opportunity to complete a total of 150 required credits for the CPA License before beginning work.
For maximum flexibility and convenience, all MSAC graduate classes are offered in an online format for flexibility.
Accredited by AACSB as one of the top business schools in New Jersey, Ramapo College offers highly experienced faculty who focus on teaching and mentorship. The program is fully aligned with the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy, the licensing authority for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licenses issued in the State of New Jersey and establishes the requirements for licensure.
