MBSR FUNDAMENTALS PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION 8-WEEK COURSE- in collaboration with Center for Mindfulness UMass

In collaboration with the Center for Mindfulness (CFM) at UMass Medical School, the Mindfulness at Ramapo College now offers the first step in Oasis Institute’s comprehensive, highly-professional training to become a CFM Certified MBSR Teacher, You can now complete your first step in becoming an MBSR instructor at the Mindfulness at Ramapo College (after taking the MBSR course as a participant.) Orientation begins Thursday, September 15 at 10am-2pm in the Spiritual Center and then 6-8pm in Anisfield School of Business room 420, both located at Ramapo College.

SR-401- 8 Week MBSR Fundamentals is an immersion in the CFM 8-week Stress Reduction Program to study the curriculum, program flow, and contextual and theoretical background of MBSR. A small cohort explores issues arising out of the MBSR learning and teaching experience. Participants will have the opportunity to earn CFM “Qualified Teacher” status after the first three courses (SR-401, SR-402 and SR-403). With completion of all six courses (SR-FLEX, plus SR-401 through SR-405), you will earn CFM MBSR Teacher Certification.

When you register for the Fundamental Course, you will automatically be registered for the 8-Week Thursday evening fall MBSR course (also taught by Meg Chang, in collaboration with CFM that runs from 7-9:30pm on the same days. Both courses must be completed at the same time. You must also attend an MBSR orientation.
