This year, the Ramapo College Foundation teamed up with each of Ramapo’s five schools to compete in a Giving Tuesday, $5 Venmo challenge to support each school and the Fund for Ramapo. The response was overwhelming with every school raising money to support its academic endeavors. Less than one week into that challenge, another challenge was presented to the Foundation by an anonymous supporter. The proposal: If the Foundation raised $10,000 for the Fund for Ramapo, they would match that $10,000.

In less than two weeks, alumni, faculty, staff, students, foundation board members and other supporters contributed and helped the Foundation raise over $21,000, unlocking the additional $10,000 matching gift for a grand total over $31,000, setting the largest Giving Tuesday record in Foundation history. Giving Tuesday was created nationally ten years ago with one simple objective: to spread goodness. Thank you, Ramapo community members, for spreading goodness to our students.
