[Library Atrium] Sign up for the Year of Sub-Saharan Africa Spring Semester Book Club, hosted by Potter Library. We will be reading “Nervous Conditions” by Tsitsi Dangarembga. Sign up on Tuesday, December 6 from noon – 1 p.m. in the Library Atrium. Books will be provided to the first 30 students who sign up. Open to faculty, staff and students. This program has been supported by the Center for Student Involvement & the Roukema Center for International Education. The discussion group will meet monthly in the spring. [Library Lounge] The George T. Potter Library will be hosting a book club with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. Fall Semester Books: Dreams in a Time of War: A Childhood Memoir AND Weep Not, Child – both books by author Ngugi wa Thiong’o.Books will be provided to the first 15 individuals who sign up. This group is open to faculty, staff and students. First priority of books will go to students. This program has been supported by the Center for Student Involvement & the Roukema Center for International Education. [Off-campus] Celebrate the season with Ramapo Chorale this weekend as they present A CHORAL CARAVAN on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. The concert features African and American music – in anticipation of the Chorale’s upcoming tour to Ghana – along with holiday musical fare. Tickets are available at the Berrie Center box office and at the door: $15 adults; $5 students. Performance is in the historic Old Paramus Church, 660 E. Glen Ave., just off Hwy. 17 S, Ridgewood.
