A Queer THEIRSTORY of Polynesia is a photo-collage book-in-progress by artist and Poet Dan Talapapa McMullin (Eastern Samoa) whose research led practice looks at connectsions between queer cultures throughout Polynesia, including Samoan, Tongan, Kanaka Maoli, Maori, Maohi, and Rapanui published oral traditions and historical commentaries in English, French, German and Spanish on Pacific queer peoples.
About the Speaker
Dan Taulapapa McMullin is a Fa’afafine Artist from Samoa-i-Sasa’e (Eastern Samoa), living in Hudson, New York. Talapapa’s Practice includes Poetry, Painting, Film, Installation, Sculpture, Photo-Collage, and books. More at http://www.taulapapa.com.
