“The Future of Travel” with Rick Steves

What: America’s most respected authority on European travel, Rick Steves, will offer advice for travelers as the world reopens and predictions of how the global pandemic will change travel. This interview will be conducted by global education expert and journalist, Karin Fischer.

Who: Rick Steves empowers Americans to have European trips that are fun, affordable, and culturally broadening. He launched Rick Steves’ Europe in 1976 and produces a best-selling guidebook series, a popular public television show, a weekly public radio show, a syndicated travel column, and runs a successful small-group tour program that takes 30,000 travelers to Europe annually.
Journalist Karen Fischer writes regularly for The Chronicle of Higher Education, the New York Times, Washington Monthly, and more. She also has her own blog, latitudes.
