SIT Language Sampler: Learn QUECHUA – TheLanguage of the Andes

Imaynallam kasanki! Join SIT’s accomplished Quechua languageteacher in Cuzco, Peru for an interactive, online Quechua class. There’s noprevious experience needed for this beginner-level session, which is designedto showcase the tools SIT uses to deliver high-quality language educationaround the world. Native to the Andes mountain region of South America, Quechuais the most widely-spoken indigenous language in the Americas with more than 13million speakers across Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, northwest Argentina, andsouthern Colombia, along with Quechua-speaking immigrant communities in theUnited States. Students of Quechua not only learn a practical communicationskill, they also gain insight into the unique native Andean world view. Thissession is ideal for anyone with an interest in Latin America, the Andes, andindigenous American culture and identity.
