This panel celebrates women’s engagement in science with astrong focus on the presence and impact of women scientists in Antarctica,Tanzania, and Portugal. Panelists will discuss the challenges and barriers ofpatriarchy in the production of knowledge, revisit advances in gender and laborrights in the discipline, and investigate the unique perspectives brought bywomen in science, in particular in the fields of biology, environmentalscience, wildlife management, and conservation.
