[H-129] Melvis Santa and her band Ashedi, a quartet of professional Cuban musicians, will present two demonstration-performances on Afro-Cuban music. Funded by a Schomburg grant, the sessions are free and open to the Ramapo community. Melvis is a fabulous singer, composer, pianist, dancer, actress, and educator from Havana, residing in New York since 2014 (http://www.melvissanta.com/).
