The Spring Housing Intent Process allows the Office of Residence Life to have a confirmation of how many residents are returning to their campus housing assignment for the Spring 2025 semester.

All residents must complete the Spring 2025 Housing Intent process! This includes residents who are: 

  • Graduating in December 2024 and May 2025
  • Studying abroad or participating in National Student Exchange in Spring 2025
  • Withdrawing or transferring for the Spring 2025 semester

The Spring Intent Process includes completing the Spring 2025 Housing Intent Form and the Resident Assistant Evaluation.

HOW TO ACCESS THE SPRING INTENT PROCESS:

The Spring 2025 Housing Intent Process is now available and must be completed via the personal link e-mailed to each student’s Ramapo e-mail account.  The link is unique to each student, therefore, we ask that you do not share this link.  If you have accidentally deleted this link and need to have the link resent to you, please e-mail reslife@ramapo.edu.

This process must be completed by November 4, 2024 (free of charge). 

You will automatically be billed for Spring semester charges if you have indicated that you are returning for the Spring 2025 semester.  Students are responsible for informing the Office of Residence Life of any changes in their housing status.

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT COMPLETE THE SPRING INTENT PROCESS:

Residents who do not complete the Spring 2025 Housing Intent Process will lose housing and must reapply for any future housing requests.

If you decide at a later date that you would like on campus housing, you must resubmit a housing application with the required housing deposit.  The deposit must be submitted to the Office of Student Accounts.  Upon receipt of your Commuter application, your name will be added to the Commuter List.  Please note: housing is not guaranteed.

WHAT IS YOUR SPRING 2025 STATUS?

All residents are required to indicate their Spring 2025 housing status when completing the Spring Housing Intent Process.  Your options include: 

  • Remaining in housing for the Spring 2025 semester:
    If you are returning for the Spring 2025 semester, you do not have to take all your belongings home.  Howeverthe College is not responsible for any items that are left in the residence halls/apartments, therefore, we encourage you take all of your valuables home.  If deemed necessary, College officials (such as Facilities or other staff members) may need to enter your apartment/suite/room at any point after check-out to make any necessary repairs or assessments.
  • Withdrawing, Transferring in December 2024:  
    If you are not returning for the Spring 2025 semester, you must complete the Housing Withdrawal Process and follow the check-out procedures outlined by your hall office.  The Housing Withdrawal Form must be completed as it is part of the Housing Withdrawal Process.  Access to this form will be available on December 1, 2024.  All housing related charges will be removed from your student account on or about December 6, 2024.  Once you withdraw from housing you must reapply for any future housing requests as your guaranteed housing status will no longer be in effect and you will be considered a commuter.  If you decide at a later date that you would like on campus housing, you must resubmit a housing application with the required housing deposit.  The deposit must be submitted to the Office of Student Accounts.  Upon receipt of your Commuter application, your name will be added to the Commuter List.   Spring 2025 commuter students will not be eligible to participate in Housing Selection in the Spring.  Please note: housing is not guaranteed for those who withdraw from housing.
  • Graduating (not returning for Spring 2025):
    Simply indicate on the Spring 2025 Housing Intent Process that you are graduating.  There is no other paperwork to complete.  You will need to follow the check-out procedures outlined by your hall office.  All housing related charges will be removed from your student account on or about December 6, 2024.  
  • Participating in Study Abroad or National Student Exchange for the Spring 2025 semester:
    If you are participating in Study Abroad or National Student Exchange for Spring 2025 you must obtain and submit a temporary withdrawal form.  The form can be obtained by emailing reslife@ramapo.edu.  The temporary withdrawal form must be submitted by December 6, 2024.  You will be guaranteed housing upon your return for the Fall 2025 semester; however, you will not be guaranteed a specific location.  You are responsible for submitting the non-refundable housing selection deposit of $500 by February 3, 2025.  Please note, you are responsible for following the Fall 2025 Housing Selection procedures which will be posted on the Residence Life web page in March 2025.

WITHDRAWING FROM SPRING 2025

The 100% refund date for withdrawing from Spring 2025 housing is January 27, 2025.

Students who withdraw AFTER January 27, 2025 but BEFORE February 3, 2025 will be assessed 50% of their housing charges for the Spring 2025 semester.  Students who withdraw after February 3, 2025 will not be entitled to a housing refund.  Therefore, we ask that you please be mindful of the refund deadlines if you are considering withdrawing from housing.
