Welcome to the Co-Lab Learning Series!

Remember those pre-semester IDC workshops? If they feel like a blur now, don’t worry. Over the next few weeks, the IDC will be releasing microlearning videos on the essential Canvas topics we covered at the pre-semester workshops. Each video pairs with a Co-Lab working session. Drop by the IDC during the corresponding Co-Lab hours to ask questions, work on your own course, and collaborate with IDC staff and fellow instructors.

Three weeks into the Fall term is the perfect time to kick off this series with three quick videos covering some of the Canvas basics we discussed at the workshops.

• Did you know you can make your Canvas course easier for your students to find and navigate in just a few clicks? This short video shows you how to set up your course details and menu.
• First impressions matter! Your course landing page is the first thing students see. This quick video shows you how to choose a Home Page so students land in the right place.
• A clear syllabus sets the tone for your course. Here’s a quick video on how to add your syllabus to your Canvas course so students can access it easily.
