LockDown Browser & Respondus Monitor: Prevent Cheating During Online Exams

LockDown Browser is a custom browser that prevents digital cheating during an online exam. Respondus Monitor is a companion product for LockDown Browser that deters cheating when students take online exams in non- proctored environments. This virtual webinar will be hosted by a Respondus trainer who will cover how to use LockDown Browser in both proctored and non-proctored environments, the student perspective using each application, efficient review of the assessment data collected, and best practices and tips for success with both applications.

Canvas: Mastering New Quizzes

Canvas: Get to Know Your Gradebook

The Canvas Gradebook is a vital tool for instructors to track student progress and communicate grades effectively. It is also a helpful resource for students to view their grades and instructor feedback in real-time, giving them a better understanding of how they are performing in the course. This workshop will cover key aspects of the Canvas Gradebook, including setup and organization, sorting and filtering data, posting grades, and using SpeedGrader.

Canvas: Templates

Canvas Templates are finally here and will be automatically applied starting in the Winter semester! You may have already gotten a sneak preview during a workshop, but now they will be applied to all future semesters’ courses. Join us in this workshop to learn everything you need to know about how to update them and integrate your pre-existing content into them. This will be a hands-on session, so please be ready to work on your Winter course or a sandbox version to get the most out of this training!

Getting to Know Panopto: New Lecture Capture and Screen Recording System

Starting Jan. 1, 2025, Panopto replaces YuJa as the screen recording platform for lectures, tutorials, and other content. (All content from YuJa will be migrated automatically into the new platform.) This workshop covers the basics of Panopto including how to make a recording, integrate Panopto into Canvas Assignments, and more. This workshop will be led virtually by a Panopto trainer.
