Respondus gives instructors the ability to administer proctored online exams through Moodle or Canvas. Using Respondus to proctor an online exam will reduce cheating. (Students must have a webcam in order to take a proctored exam.) This workshop reviews the Respondus tools and processes for enabling the lockdown browser, using the proctoring service, reviewing red flags, and trouble-shooting problems.

Pedagogy Connection: Online courses provide flexibility in learning, but online exams to assess student learning are difficult to monitor. This workshop on Respondus helps to ensure that the students in the class are the people taking the exam and not cheating while doing so.
