In preparation for the upcoming semester, the IDC is offering a Canvas Camp for all instructors. Review the basics of Canvas or get more advanced with your use of our Learning Management System. Attend some or all of the sessions either online via Webex or in person in LC-201. Please register using the button above, regardless of how you choose to attend.

10:00-10:50 AM: Canvas Basics: Overview, Navigation, Settings, and Modules

Learn the basics of Canvas including the dashboard, global navigation, course navigation, and recommended settings. Learn how to add content to the Modules, including files, web links, and more.

11:00-11:50 AM: Canvas Assignments, Speedgrader, and Gradebook

Learn how to add Assignments in Canvas, organize Assignment Groups, employ the Speedgrader, and use the Canvas Gradebook book for efficient assignment submission and feedback.

12:30-1:20 PM: Beyond the Modules: Enhancing Your Canvas Course for Student Engagement and Mobility

Learn how to use Pages and other Canvas tools to create a visually dynamic and engaging Canvas experience for your students. Learn how to integrate Pages and Modules for organizing and presenting your course content.

1:30-2:20 PM: Introduction to New Quizzes (replacing Quizzes in Summer 2024)

Get an overview of New Quizzes, which is available now and will replace Quizzes in Summer 2024. Learn how to create a New Quiz, add questions, choose the settings, and add accommodations for students.
